This paper addresses the question Where does supervision end and therapy begin? positioning the ideal of the separation of supervision practice from therapy within a broad nest of contexts incorporating  the legislative, organisational, methodological and personal. The author explores the proscriptive separation of supervisory and therapeutic interventions through an auto-ethnographic lens, examining the experience of working as a supervisor in light of the current literature on supervision and raising pertinent questions of where and how this line is to be drawn in practice.
